Obituary
Robert (Bobby) Mahoney, age 71, of Norwell, formerly of South Boston, died peacefully at home surrounded by his family, on Saturday, June 6, 2015.
Bobby was the son of the late Francis & Irene Mahoney, and brother of the late Irene Thompson. Bob was a hard worker and loyal employee of P.J. Harnett Co. and a member of Teamsters Local 25 for 30 years. After retirement, he enjoyed traveling and spending time with family, he also worked part time for New England Office Connection. He was loved by many and will be truly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Jane (Crump) Mahoney; three children, Suzanne Mahoney & Edward Cunningham of New Bedford, Rob & Jenni Mahoney of Norwell and Joel & Danielle Mahoney of New Mexico; five grandchildren, Kaela, Jared, Jessica, Olivia and Evan; siblings, Mary & Doug Terrell of Delaware, MD, Marilyn Gould of Hull, Arthur Mahoney of Pembroke and Liz & Larry Brothers of Plymouth and brothers–in-law Norman Crump of South Boston and Jack Crump of Alabama. He was also loved by many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held at McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 30 Central Street, Norwell, on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 from 4:00–8:00 PM.
A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at 11:00 AM.
Interment services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice of the South Shore, 55 Fogg Road, South Weymouth, MA 02190.
