Thelma A. (Geddes) Osborne, age 97, of Norwell passed away peacefully surrounded by family on August 9, 2012. Beloved wife of the late George W. Osborne and devoted mother of Joan O. Pidot and husband, George of Wilmington, NC., Kathleen A. Caron and her late husband, Alfred of Binghamton, NY., Kenneth W. Osborne and wife, Linda of Punta Gorda, FL., James M. Osborne and wife, MaryEllen of Neptune, NJ., and the late Charles F. Osborne. Sister of the late Frank Geddes, Marion Riley, Bernice Whitman, and William Hayes. Also survived by 14 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and one late grandson.

Thelma was raised in Milton and moved to Norwell. She was married to George in 1939. She was an avid Red Sox fan. In 2005, she celebrated her 90th birthday with 50 people, spanning 4 generations of family. Thelma retired as a department manager from J.M. Fields, Queen Anne's Corner, Norwell.

A Funeral Service will be celebrated on Monday, August 13, 2012 at 2 pm in the Church Hill United Methodist Church, 11 Church St., Norwell, MA. 02061. Visiting hour 1 hour prior to the service at 1 pm in the Church Hill United Methodist Church Hall. Interment Washington Street Cemetery, Norwell. In lieu of flowers, donations in Thelma's memory may be made to the Church Hill United Methodist Church, 11 Church St., Norwell, MA. 02061
