Thomas J. Quinn, Captain BFD-Retired, of Scituate, formerly of South Boston, died on December 9, 2010. He was 81 years old. He was the loving husband of Margaret "Peggy" (McDade) Quinn. Beloved father of Daniel Quinn and his wife Patricia of Marshfield, Peggy Watson and her husband Sean of Portland, Maine, and Thomas Quinn Jr. and his wife Julie of Hingham. Devoted brother of Frank Quinn of Marlboro, James Quinn of Quincy, and the late Bill, Jack, Joe, Paul, Michael, and Mary Quinn. Cherished grandfather of Ryan Quinn, Catherine Quinn, Ethan Quinn, and Adam Quinn. Also Survived by many nieces & nephews.

Thomas served his country as a Sergeant in the Korean Conflict. A late member of the Boston Fire department Local 718 , he retired after 34 years of dedicated service to a job he loved dearly. In his retirement he enjoyed his grandchildren, fishing and gardening.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, Dec. 13, at 10 am in St. Anthony Church, 10 Summer St., Cohasset. Interment Cudworth Cemetery, Scituate following the Mass.
