Thomas W. "Wisdom" Wigmore, also known as Wiggy, age 51, of Cohasset and Hingham, passed away on his most favorite and most Patriotic holiday, July 4, 2015, surrounded by family and friends. Beloved husband of Deirdre (Brady) Wigmore of Hingham. Son of Stephen F. Wigmore of Cohasset and the late Grace Anne (Murphy) Wigmore. Brother of Anthony J. Wigmore of Cohasset. Nephew of Joan Habbep and husband Ralph of VT. And Mary Stafford and husband Roy of OR. Brother in law of Clare Brady and friend Nancy Campbell of Plymouth and Karen Pipes and husband Donald of Scituate. Uncle of Kasey Pipes of Scituate, Carly Rooney and husband Ian of Dartmouth and Gianna Schiavo of Cohasset. Also survived by several cousins.

Tom was a Commander of the Sons of the American Legion Squadron 118, which he reactivated 27 years ago. He was a past State Commander of Massachusetts Detachment of the Sons of the American Legion and held several other state offices as well as a past National Vice Commander, holding many other National offices. Tom organized many events in Cohasset, including 9/11 services, veterans services, among others, but was particularly proud of the Memorial Day service which included "The Healing Field", which he founded 9 years ago. In addition, Tom was an employee of the Town of Cohasset for twenty eight and a half years, working in numerous positions from Assistant Harbormaster, Communication Dispatcher and Supervisor for Police and Fire, to Maintenance. He was recently awarded Citizen of the Year 2015. He truly enjoyed traveling the US with his wife Dee.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at 10 am in St. Anthony Church, Cohasset. Visiting hours Wednesday, July 8, 2015 from 2-7 pm in St. Anthony Church Parish Center, Cohasset, across from McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home. A Sons of the American Legion will hold a Detachment Ceremony at 6 pm on Wednesday during visitation. Interment Woodside Cemetery, Cohasset.
