Vivian Francis Higgins, of Cohasset, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2014 at the age of 84. She was born on April 27, 1929 in the Bronx, New York City. Vivian was born and raised in New York City and moved to the South Shore where she met her future husband, Earle W. Higgins Jr. (deceased) while roller-skating at Nantasket Beach. She took much pleasure and pride in her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Vivian had a love for the game of scrabble and enjoyed a game just about everyday with her caregiver Maureen Sullivan, whom she was very fond of. She was an avid bowler and square dancer, who enjoyed traveling and camping with family and friends. Recently, her life was spent in the comfort of Sunrise of Cohasset with its remarkably caring nurses, care givers and Reminiscence Coordinator. She is survived by her daughter Diane and her husband Robert Jackson of Cohasset, her son Frederick and his wife Joanne Higgins of Cohasset, her granddaughter Kristin Curran and her husband Brian Curran of Cohasset, grandson Keith Jackson and his wife LCDR Tara Jackson USN of Virginia Beach, VA, granddaughter Kaitlin Johnson and her husband Jeffrey Johnson of Plympton and granddaughter Kimberly Higgins of Cohasset. She is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren Emily Curran, John Curran, Chloe Johnson, Nathaniel Johnson and Noah Buchan.
Relatives and Friends invited to attend a Memorial Service at the Second Congregational Church, 43 Highland Ave., Cohasset , MA. 02025 on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at 11:30 am. Interment Private. Visiting hours omitted.
