Walter E. Clapp, age 85, of Norwell, passed away on August 3, 2015 at home with family. Beloved husband of the late Constance E. (Duffy) and devoted father of Judith E. O'Bryan of Abington, Janet L. Baldeck of East Bridgewater Jean S. Chiasson of Norwell, Joan L. Osborne of Norwell, June E. Horrigan of Norwell. Son of the late Mildred L. (Ekblom) Clapp and Roger B. Clapp. Brother of Louise M. (Clapp) Foley of Halifax and Roger B. Clapp Jr. of Cotuit. Walter has 13 grandchildren, four great grandchildren and two great grandchildren on the way.

Mr. Clapp was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in the US Navy. He worked for many years at Quincy Oil Co. and Star Market. Mr. Clapp was a graduate of Bentley College. He enjoyed flying and sailboat racing as well as spending time with friends and family.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 from 4-7 pm in McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 30 Central St. (off Rt. 123 near State Police Barracks) Norwell Center. A Funeral Service will be held in McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, Norwell on Thursday, August 6, 2015 at 10 am. Interment Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
