Walter J. Driscoll, age 84, of Scituate and Dorchester, died peacefully on September 4, 2011. Mr. Driscoll was the beloved father of Walter, Jr., Anne Williams of Virginia, and the late Timothy. He was the beloved brother of Mary A. Driscoll of Dorchester, the late Trudy Crowley of Scituate, and the uncle of Trudy Crowley of Falmouth, Francis Crowley of Whitman, Maryanna Hanlon of Brockton, and Tricia Norris of No. Quincy.

Walter was a graduate of St. Michael's College, Class of 1955 and served in the US Navy during WW II, receiving the Purple Heart. He ran his own insurance agency for many years.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, September 9, 2011 at 10 am in St. Mary of the Nativity Church, 1 Kent St., Scituate Harbor. Visiting hours omitted. Interment V.A. Mass. National Cemetery, Bourne on Friday at 2:15 pm.
