Wilfred C. "Butch" Prouty, age 67, of Scituate, died suddenly on April 23, 2012. Beloved son of the late Wilfred C. and Esther (Gosewisch) Prouty. Brother of Jean E. Curtis and Diane B. Vines, both of Scituate.

Butch was the owner of Prouty Farm on First Parish Road in Scituate.

A Graveside Service will be held Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at 11 am in Union Cemetery, Scituate. Visiting hours omitted. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Butch's memory to a charity of one's choice.
