William F. DeGiacomo, age 88, of Cohasset, formerly of Hingham, passed away peacefully on Sept. 23, 2017 at home. Husband of the late Ruth H. (Walsh) and devoted father of Laura Coughlan of Deerfield Beach, FL., Lisa Smith and husband Jim of Hingham, William DeGiacomo and wife Sandy of Scituate, David DeGiacomo of Quincy, Amy Spall and husband Steve of Hingham, Emily Naughton and husband Paul of No. Kingstown, RI. Grandfather of Julie and Amanda, Matthew and William, Sam, Ben, Jackson, Adam, Michael, Courtney, Bella, and J.P. Great grandfather of Winnie Ruth, and Gus.Beloved brother of Foster DeGiacomo of Concord, MA.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Graduate of Boston College. Served in the US Marine Corps. He was a Professor of Business Administration and Suffolk Univ. Mr. DeGiacomo was President and owner of Air Inc. of Franklin, MA. He was a member of the Sons of Italy in Hingham, the George H. Mealy Post 118 in Cohasset and an active member of St. Anthony Church, Cohasset. He enjoyed sailing and tennis. Mr. DeGiacomo will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, friend and mentor to many.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate William during visiting hours on Monday, Sept. 25, 2017 from 4-8 pm in McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 160 So. Main St. (across from St. Anthony Church), Cohasset, MA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2017 at 10 am in St. Anthony Church, Cohasset. Interment Woodside Cemetery, Cohasset.
