William F. Doran, age 87, of Scituate, passed away on April 4, 2015 surrounded by family at home. Bill was the loving husband of 50 years to Margaret (Drummond) and devoted father of William J. Doran and partner Rainier of Auburndale, Cara J. Doran of Scituate, and Beth A. Villarreal and  Javier of Somerville. He was the adoring grandfather of six precious grandchildren. Mr. Doran was the brother of the late Grace Sullivan and Thomas Doran and is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Doran attended Boston University and spent his working years in insurance, earning his broker and advisor license. He worked throughout Boston and in later years was affiliated with several agencies on the South Shore. He enjoyed skiing, fishing, clamming and gardening and was a past-President of Fraternal Order of Eagles. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the US Navy.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at 11 am in St. Anthony Church, 10 Summer St., Cohasset, MA. 02025. In lieu of flowers, donations to honor Mr. Doran may be made to the Scituate Etrusco, 1 Common St., Scituate, MA. 02066
