Albert M Gray 79 years young, of Norwell Ma. and Lake Mary Florida passed away peacefully surrounded by family at home after a short but dignified battle with cancer. Al was predeceased by his Daughter in-law Denise Gray and Grandchild Kyle Gray. He was the son of the late Albert M. Gray, Sr and Eudora (Pflaumer) Gray and brother to John David Gray. Al lived his life to the fullest all the way to the end, never settling for less, pursing perfection, and living his dream retirement. To call Al a talented and skilled woodworker and cabinetmaker is an understatement. His skills were not limited to woodworking as he had the knack to figure out just about anything mechanical and do the job right. He loved the challenge of solving a problem. Al had a passion for boating and was a skilled at seamanship having owned 19 boats over the years both in Ma. and Fla. His 32’ Egg Harbor “Ma’s Wish” was his pride and joy. Al and his family had enjoyed many summers as a members of the Wessagusett Yacht Club. Al also enjoyed model railroading and his attention to detail in the complex layouts and sceneries were impressive. Al spent much time at the Hingham Model Railroad Club and in his shop working on train layouts. Beyond all of his talents and abilities, Al was a kind and loving man that would help someone with no questions asked. During this difficult time many people have reached out to say “do you remember when?” referring to a time when Al stepped up to give someone a hand. Above all the most important thing in his life was his family. Al loved being around his Children and Grandchildren and was inseparable from his high school sweetheart Linda. Al will be sorely missed by all that had the pleasure of spending any time with him. Services will be private for family only. In lieu of flowers, donations to honor Al may be made to St. Jude’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN. 38105.
