Ann F. (McLaughlin) Gorman

Ann Frances (McLaughlin) Gorman passed away after a brief illness at South Shore Hospital on November 30, 2021. 

Ann was born in Dorchester, MA and moved with her family to Scituate where she lived most of her life. When she was a young girl of 13 she entered and won Miss Jody Jordan Marsh, a modeling contest.  No surprise there because she was beautiful inside and out. She  was a graduate of Scituate High School Class of 1967. She went on to become a Dental Assistant and worked at Scituate Family Dental for close to forty years. Ann had a special gift of making all her patients feel relaxed thru a procedure and was very fond of them. 

She loved watching the food network, especially the show ‘The Kitchen’ because she was a terrific cook and loved learning new cooking tips. After the food network she enjoyed  comedy’s.  Her favorite all time movies were  Pretty Woman and Overboard. She loved to laugh and had a great sense of humor. Ann loved the beach and spent many a day on Peggotty Beach with her life long friends. She was an avid dog lover and had many dogs thru the years her beloved Sidney, Brody and her pal Snoop.  Most of all Ann adored her three sons and was a devoted and proud mother.

She was the daughter of the late Harold and Eleanor McLaughlin of Scituate. Ann is survived by her loving sons Michael and his wife Rhea of North Attleboro, Mark of Scituate and Matthew and his wife Adrienne of Scituate. Cherished grandmother, “Nina”,  to Kaley, Taylor, Vivienne and Crew. She is also survived by five brothers and sisters. The late Edward McLaughlin and Judy of Scituate, Harold (Buttsy) McLaughlin and his wife Diane of Scituate, Gail Jones and her husband Ross of Scituate, Terese McDougall and her husband Michael of Marshfield and MaryKate Conroy and her husband Michael of Denmark Maine. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 10 am in St Mary’s Church in Scituate, MA.
