Anthony C. Sestito

Anthony Carl Sestito (Tony, Dad, Bumpy) 84 years old of Cohasset, passed away at his home, peacefully surrounded by the love of his family on August 1, 2022. Loving son of Carl and Ann (Umbrianna) Sestito.

He was born on April 6th, 1938 in Cohasset. While in high school, he met the love of his life Judy Tilden (his bug) and together they raised six beautiful children who are the pride and joy of this loving man.

Anthony always proved to be a dedicated, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and true friend. He had an amazing sense of humor, always ready to tell you a joke or two. Anthony enjoyed spending time with his family and adoptive family members. There is always room for one more person at their dinner table or if you needed a place to stay you are always welcomed at the Sestito home.

He retired from the Town of Cohasset after 44 years. Anthony continued to enjoy his retirement by working on his tractor, smoking his cigars and just enjoying the beautiful property that he and Judy built together. He would sit with family and friends under his beloved grape arbor light up a cigar and talk about old times and all the great memories of people he held so dear in his heart.

Anthony’s memory will live on in our hearts, he has left us with his strong Sestito traits, jokes, his love for food and living a pure simple life. But most of all his deep love and devotion for his wife and family.

Anthony leaves his wife Judy of 63 years, his children, Carl Sestito and Laurel Hickey of Cohasset, Dale and Linda Sestito of Hingham, Joe and Lilly Sestito of Cohasset, Dina and Kurt Gondveer of Hingham, William Sestito of Cohasset, Leanne and James Clark of Cohasset, and Karen and George Jackson of Cummaquid Ma. His sister Rose Calvi (Sestito) of Hingham, and his niece and nephews, Elizabeth, Michael and Joseph. Anthony’s grandchildren, Kiley, Spencer, Vincent, Heather, Kevin, Stephanie, Angela, Christina, Tony, Joseph, Dominic, Bella, Ariana, Dylan and Ava. Anthony’s great grandchildren, Gemma, Aubrey, Piper, Carissa, Evan Anthony, Logan, Sofia, Holly, James, Cassia.

Visiting Hours for Anthony will be held on Wednesday August 10th 3-7pm in McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 1 Summer St., Cohasset, MA and a celebration of life Funeral Mass on Thursday August 11th at 11am Saint Anthony’s Church in Cohasset. A Service at Woodside Cemetery following the Mass. Donations can be made in the memory of Anthony Sestito to the Scituate Animal Shelter, 780 Chief Justice Cushing Hwy, Scituate Ma 02066.
