Barbara Ann (Wright) Chiasson

Barbara A. Chiasson, Age 91, of Norwell, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 29, 2023, with her family by her side. Barbara was born on December 27, 1931 to the late Russell and Louise Wright. She was the oldest of two, and predeceased by her younger sister that passed at a young age. She is also predeceased by her husband Raymond.

She grew up in Braintree and was a graduate of Braintree High School. Barbara worked at a bank and as a dental assistant in her early years. She retired early to care for her three boys. She maintained her independence until her last days. She enjoyed playing the organ, often during family gatherings or around the holidays. Barbara loved to garden in her adult years. She was an avid sports fan, especially when it involved her boys. She had a passion for animals and helping them any way she could. She donated money each month to help cats and dogs in need. Barbara looked forward to going to Nova Scotia each summer to spend time with her family.

She is survived by her son Mark Chiasson of Norwell and his wife Jean, her son Scott Chiasson of Whitman and his wife Sue, and her son Paul Chiasson of San Diego and his wife Dana. She leaves behind her four grandchildren: Jennifer, Eric, Mark, and Sarah. She also leaves behind many other family members and loved ones, including her four-legged fur great grandchildren that she loved spending time with.

There are no events planned, as she did not wish to have services. Barbara would have preferred memorial donations be made to The Animal Rescue League, at www.arlboston.org, to continue her legacy and what meant the most to her.
