Barret C. Rappold, age 40, of Cohasset and Scituate, passed away on April 8, 2023. Loving husband of Ashley L. (Kosterman) Rappold and adoring father of James C. Rappold. Son of Robert Rappold and wife Mary of Scituate and the late Joan (Fitzgibbons). Loving brother of Krista Sommers and husband Timothy, Michael Infusino, and Nicholas Infusino and wife Maggie. Beloved nephew and BEST FRIEND of Uncle Dana Rappold and wife Eileen. Loving grandson of Rosemarie Rappold. Uncle B to many nieces and nephews.
Barret was the owner and operator of Rappold Construction. He was unbelievably talented at his craft, and no one matched his work ethic and drive. As important as his business was, nothing mattered more to Barret than to provide and care for his beloved son, James. Barret’s goal was to ensure his family (Rosie and Binx included) were taken care of and nothing made him prouder than accomplishing this. He was their “Movie”, and he will be so greatly missed.
Barret was quite a unique individual, anyone who knows him will agree. You’d never forget meeting Barret; he always left a memorable impact on everyone. Construction worker by day, fashion icon by night. He loved his crazy, fancy (sometimes flashy) clothing and had incredible style. He did everything in life with determination and intensity, and strived to be the best at whatever he was doing. Barret was an incredible friend and has touched so many lives in his 40 short years. Barret took pride in helping others and would not only bend over backwards for the ones he loved, but complete strangers.
Barret would always make his presence known loudly. No one had to worry about knowing if Barret was in the house. He would leave behind many clues such as peanut butter smeared all over the kitchen and light fixtures, boots tracks all over the floor, half drunken soda water cans on the counter, or the bathroom door slamming as his final words would be “I’d stay away from there for a while”. He was the annoyingly charming husband. He was the dad who tormented his son to build character. He was the brother that was always there for his sister and brothers. He was the son that made your heart burst with pride and at the same time wonder what planet he came from! He was the one who could fall asleep and nap at wherever he was at any given time. He will be missed by all and remembered by so many. There will never be another Barret Christopher Rappold.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Barret on Friday, April 14, 2023 from 4-8 pm in McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 1 Summer St. (across from St. Anthony Church), Cohasset, MA. 02025.
