Brenda Joyce Zilinskas, 75, of Scituate, died peacefully in her sleep on March 7, 2022.
Born in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania in October 1946, she was the daughter of the late Monroe and Alberta Houser. She graduated from Morrisville High School in 1964 and met her late husband Bernie in 1966 while studying Education at Eastern Nazarene College.
Brenda was a lifelong learner, having taught 3rd grade at Wampatuck Elementary School and preschool at Beach Street School in Scituate until she retired in 2002. She loved to read, travel, and relished in time spent on the breathtaking beaches of New England and Captiva Island, Florida with friends and family.
Brenda lost her loving husband of 50 years, Bernie, in 2019 to cancer. She is survived by her son, Bernie Jr., and his wife, Lori, of Santa Clarita, CA; her daughter Kristin and her husband, David, of Scituate, MA; and her daughter Erica and her wife, Kristin, of Silver Spring, MD. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Dean, Samuel, George, John, Dominic, and Josephine; many nieces and nephews, and beloved friends for whom she was extremely grateful for their unwavering love and support.
