Catherine "Kitsy" M. (Ray) Shedd

Catherine M. (Ray) Shedd passed away peacefully at home on October 7, 2021, just shy of her 100th birthday. She was born in South Boston, MA and lived most of her life in Scituate, MA.  

Kitsy was the wife of the late James A Shedd, Jr., and together they had eight children:  the late James (Lonie) A. Shedd III, Patricia C. Allen (husband Jesse D. Allen, Jr.), Catherine M. Hession (husband James A. Hession), the late Susan M. Kreutler (husband Kent Kreutler), Christopher R. Shedd, the late Robert R. Shedd, John (Jack) Shedd, and the late Peter T. Shedd.

 
She is also survived by daughter in law Caroline (Carrie) Ryan, as well as Grandchildren Jesse D. Allen III, Loni Stoddard (husband Todd Stoddard), Matthew Hession, Robert (Bobby) Shedd, Kei Kreutler, Caroline Twomey (husband Patrick Twomey), and the late Christopher M. Hession. Great Grandchildren are:  Emmitt Stoddard, Logan Stoddard, and Ryan Twomey. 
Kitsy worked for 20 years for Norfolk Conveyor Company in Cohasset as a switchboard operator. She was a woman of great faith, reciting her daily rosary and reading scripture. She also was a grand master knitter of beautiful socks. She was an avid golfer and a member of Hatherly Country Club for many years and has the trophies to prove it. 

A Celebration of Life Mass will be celebrated on Monday, October 18 at 11am at St. Anthony Parish, 10 Summer Street, Cohasset, MA. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Burial to follow at Groveland Cemetery, Scituate.
