Charles "Charlie" F. Keyes, Jr.

Charles F. “Charlie” Keyes, Jr, age 46, of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, formerly of Scituate, passed away unexpectedly on November 11, 2023. Charlie was the loving son of Kathleen V. (Brehm) Keyes of Scituate, and the late Charles F. Keyes. He was the beloved brother of Lauren Keyes Steverman and her husband Brian of Hanover, Suzanne Cochran and Shawn Keyes. Uncle of Norah and Ellie Steverman, Shawna and Brian Cochran, Bob, Marina, and Ben Keyes.  Charlie was also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins as well as numerous friends.

A graduate of Scituate High School, Charlie played hockey and soccer. Following high school, he worked as a landscaper, but loved his time fishing and lobstering for several boats out of Scituate Harbor. Charlie loved his dog Simon and had been living in Florida for several years. Charlie was well known for having the biggest heart and his deep love for family and friends.

Family and friends are invited to visiting hours Sunday, Nov. 19, 2023 from 4-7 pm in McNamara Sparrell Funeral Home, 1 Summer St. (across from St. Anthony Church), Cohasset, MA. 02025. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, Nov. 20, 2023 at 11 am in St. Anthony of Padua Parish, Cohasset. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, donations to honor Charlie may be made to South Shore Peer Recovery, 51 Cole Parkway, Scituate, MA. 02066 or to the Nicola Maria Foundation, 30 Peggotty Beach Road, Scituate, MA. 02066.
