Flora "Kate" Catherine Crowley, age 90, of Cohasset and Watertown, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2021. Kate was the beloved daughter of the late Flora (Holden) and Joseph T. Crowley. She was the adoring sister of the late Margaret C. Chapin and her late husband Henry "Harry" Chapin of Cohasset. She was the devoted and loving aunt of Hannah Chapin Foley and her husband, the late James Foley, of Scituate and the late John "Jesse" Chapin, as well as several grand-nephews and her grand-niece.
Kate received her Bachelor's Degree from Emmanuel College and her Master's Degree from Boston College. She then enjoyed teaching for over 40 years at the Morse School in Cambridge.
Kate was a self-less person, always giving her time and energy to others. She would travel to and spend every summer in Cohasset until 1967, when she began to spend every weekend there helping her sister with any task, after husband passed, but relishing in helping the kids. Kate was beyond devoted to her niece and nephew, and later, her grand-nephews and niece. She loved her family dearly.
Kate and her sister, Margaret, were inseparable! Caring for each other and supporting each other. They could often be found enjoying a meal from their friends at Cohasset House of Pizza, often items that were made special for them!
Services to honor Kate are to be announced.
