Helen M. (Clune) Kelly

Helen M. (Clune) Kelly, 97, of Cohasset, MA, passed away on March 27, 2023, surrounded by her children. She was the loving wife of the late Leo M. Kelly, with whom she shared 45 years of marriage.  They raised their children in North Quincy, MA.

Born on August 10, 1925, in Dorchester, MA, she was the daughter of the late Denis Patrick and Bridget Agnes (Mulligan) Clune. She graduated from the Burdette College of Business.

Helen was an avid skier, golfer, tennis player, knitter, basket maker, loved playing bridge and spending time with her family.  She was an active member of Hatherly Country Club in Scituate for over 25 years.  She was a long-term Communicant of St. Anthony’s Church in Cohasset.

Helen is survived by her three children, Daniel Kelly of Plymouth MA, Maureen Kelly of Plymouth MA and John Kelly (Elizabeth) of Holden, MA; seven grandchildren, Sean Kelly (Jessica) of Norwood MA, Ben Tilton of Putnam CT, Stephen Kelly of Plymouth, Myles Tilton (Deidre) of Miami, FL, Connor Tilton (Hannah) of Plymouth, Kevin Kelly of Denver CO and Matthew Kelly of Brookline MA; ten great-grandchildren, Layla, Fiona, Henry, Thomas, Autumn, Nora, Teaghan, Nolan, Lillianna and Jackson. She was predeceased by two children Leo Michael Kelly Jr., and Kathleen Kelly and her siblings John, James, and Joseph Clune, Margaret Moran, Mary Sullivan, and her twin sister Anne Cavalieri.

Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua Church, Cohasset at 11:00 AM on Wednesday April 5, 2023.  Calling hours will be at 9:00 to 10:45 AM Wednesday April 5, 2023 at the McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home in Cohasset.  Interment will be at the Woodside Cemetery, Cohasset, MA. In lieu of flowers remembrances in Helen's memory may be made to the Jimmy Fund/Dana-Farber Cancer Institute- PO Box 849168, MA 02284.
