Jean Bridgeman Obituary

Jean Marie Bridgeman, age 94, of Cohasset, passed away peacefully on June 20th, 2022. Loving wife to John Bridgeman (predeceased) for 66 years, devoted mother of Jack Bridgeman and his wife Julianne of Milton, Susan LaSpada and her husband Joe of Cohasset, Frank Bridgeman and his wife Janice of Boston, Mike Bridgeman and his wife Kate of Scituate, and Liz MacDonald and her husband Bill of New Jersey. Jean is survived by her grandchildren who she loved so much, Matt, Allie, and Michael Bridgeman, Teddy and Jake Bridgeman, Julia and Billy MacDonald, and Nicholas Bridgeman.

Jean was a lifelong resident of the South Shore, where she enjoyed golfing at Hatherly Country Club, her painting lessons in Hingham, and spending time with family and friends. Her presence in her children and grandchildren’s lives was constant and that is what brought her the most joy. We will always remember her quick wit, life lessons, and her ability to tell it like it is.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a mass at St. Anthony’s Church of Cohasset on Friday June 24, 2022, at 10 AM. Interment private.

In lieu of flowers, donations to honor Jean may be made to: South Shore Hospital, 65 Fogg Rd, Weymouth, MA 02190, South Shore VNA, 30 Reservoir Park Dr, Rockland, MA 02370, and Hingham Elder Services-Art Program, 224 Central Street, Hingham, MA 02043.
