Judith Cecile Bernardi

Judith C. Bernardi (Desmond) 85, of Norwell, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2023.  Judy was the beloved wife of William A. Bernardi and loving mother of Peter Bernardi, of Marshfield, Paul Bernardi of Boston and Claudia Bernardi of Norwell. Loving grandmother of Liza, Ginger, and William. She was the daughter of the late Cecil and Frances Desmond (McGuirk) of Nova Scotia and sister of Mary Lizotte of Norwell. 

Judy grew up in Rockland MA and moved to Norwell in 1962.  Her connection to the Norwell community has run deep for over 60 years.  She served on the Board of Health for two consecutive terms in the 80’s and was a devoted member of Saint Helen’s Church.

In addition to her family and friends, painting and gardening were her passions.  She loved to paint with acrylics and had amazing talent with an impressionist style.   Judy could be found most days working in her gardens in the summer and skiing in the winter.  She loved her family more than anything in the world and believed that her three children and grandchildren were her greatest accomplishment.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 3rd at 9:00am at St. Mary’s Church, 392 Hanover St., Hanover, MA. Interment at Washington Street Cemetery, Norwell.
