Mafalda G (DelGaudio) Risti

Mafalda “Muffy” Gerarda (DelGaudio) Risti, 92, of Medford, MA, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2023.

She was predeceased by Giacinto “Gino” Risti, her husband of 64 years, as well as sisters; Netta Inzirillo, Lucy Lauria, Delores DiNush and brother Sammy DelGaudio.  

She is survived by her sister Gloria Prince, with whom she was able to spend her final months living at Artis Senior Living in Reading MA.

Muffy is survived by her beloved daughter, Gail A (Risti) Young and her husband Kevin (Kerry), of Medford. She was the proud Nana of Nicole (Young) Sonneborn and husband Dan, Ryan Young and wife Caitlin, Jacqueline Young, Patrick Young and Michael Young. She was the loving great-grandmother to Joseph and Adeline Sonneborn, and Dylan and Reese Young. She is also survived by multiple nieces and nephews and many extended close family and friends. 

Muffy was a devout Catholic, who was born and raised in East Boston, MA, she took comfort in attending weekly mass and saying her daily prayers and Rosary. 

She was a selfless, kind, and generous woman that enjoyed being with friends especially when music or dancing was involved. She will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.  

We are truly grateful for attentive services provided by Artis Senior Living of Reading and All Care Hospice.  

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at 11:30am at St. Joseph’s Church-Mary Queen of Peace-118 High Street, Medford, MA.  Visitation will be held prior to Mass from 10 to 11:15am in the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Way, Medford, MA. Relatives and friends invited to attend. Burial will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford, MA.
