Mary E. (Doherty) Hickey

Mary E. (Doherty) Hickey, age 92, of Scituate, passed away peacefully at home on March 12, 2019. Loving wife of the late John J. Hickey, Sr. Loving mother of John J. Hickey, Jr and wife Jeanne of Pembroke. Adoring "Nanny" of Michael and Christina Hickey of Pembroke. Sister of Marjorie Donohue of Erie, PA and the late Joseph Doherty of Germany. Aunt of Jean Decker and Michael Donohue of Erie, PA and Kathleen Doherty and Maureen Doherty of Germany.

Mary was a graduate of Simmons College and worked in research labratories  at Harvard University. She was a member of the Cohasset Garden Club, Scituate Harbor Yacht Club, and Hatherly Country Club. Mary had a great love of sailing and traveling. She was was an avid bridge player and terrific cook. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 15, 2019 at 10 am in St. Mary of the Nativity, 1 Kent St., Scituate Harbor, MA. Visiting hours omitted. Interment St. Mary Cemetery, Scituate. In lieu of flowers, donations to honor Mary may be made to the Alzheimer's Assoc. or a charity of one's choice.
