Muriel Priscilla Knudsen (Gabriel), 71, lifelong resident of Norwell, MA passed away Friday, August 4th, 2023 with her family by her side.
Muriel was born on Sept 6th, 1951; the 3rd child of the late Fred and Ruth Gabriel.
Muriel will be remembered for her thoughtfulness, her kindness, her love of holidays, her sense of humor, and her love for family and friends. She found the fun and humor in every situation and never took life too seriously. Every holiday season, Muriel spent hours meticulously arranging Hallmark ornaments on the tree in such a way that children could reach and play with the musical and movable ornaments. Her talent for wrapping presents was unparalled. The love, beauty, and level of care put into her gift wrapping made the presents difficult to open. She loved decorating and creating a world of wonder and enchantment, especially for nieces Erica and Jessica. Muriel had a special talent and fondness for interior decorating, crafting, and an eye for detail. Her talents were endless, her sense of imagination and creativity are incomparable. She adored her sons more than anything and was always promoting and supporting their hobbies. She framed and displayed all of Frankie's artwork, and attended each of Josh's musical performances with his band, Level Ride.
Muriel is survived by her life-long companion, husband Frank Knudsen Sr. She also leaves behind son Frank II, daughter-in-law Erin, and grandson Andrew Knudsen, all of Scituate, Ma; sister Linda Logan and husband William of Mineola, Tx; and many nieces and nephews as well as several grand nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Thursday, August 17, 2023 from 4-7pm at the McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home-1 Summer Street, Cohasset, MA 02025. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
