Crabbing 01

Robert A. Johnson

June 18, 1962 ~ January 29, 2021 (age 58)

Robert “Bob” Johnson Sr. passed away January 29, 2021 from complications from Coronavirus.

Bob is survived by his wife, Linda, of 35 years, their children, Robert Jr. his wife Ashley, his future grandson, Dominic, son Nicholas, and daughter Victoria.  His brother-in-law and sister-in-law David and Deborah Carella, nephew Charles Carella, his wife Katie, and their son Christian (Bob’s great nephew).  His brothers, Kenneth and Paul, and their wives and kids.

Bob was born in Dorchester to the late Carl Johnson and the late Irene Johnson (Aspessi), raised in Milton, and spent summers in Hull until he settled into Scituate in 1993 where Bob built his family home and raised his children.

Bob loved his home and was always busy doing something to it.  Bob even bought a tractor recently to do bigger projects around the property!

Bob loved to build things, including furniture, bars, coffee tables, sofa tables, desks, and ultimately whatever was brought to his attention especially a fire pit.  He spent countless hours smoking his cigars just enjoying life.

Bob loved to travel.  Whether it was as a family on Disney vacations, cruises, or just him, his wife, sister and brother-in-law.  He absolutely loved going to Aruba.  Bob loved to go out to eat with Linda, David, and Debbie, and their kids whenever they were available.

Bob’s favorite thing in the world was to lobster.  He was an avid lobsterman out of Cohasset Harbor and had done it for 40+ years.  As soon as the spring was here, he was outside working on traps, or painting buoys, to be ready for the season.  He could not wait to get back out on the water.

Bob’s other passion was his job.  He worked for Comcast for 25 years and loved what he did every day.

Among lobstering, building furniture, and working for Comcast, Bob also plowed for the Town of Cohasset for 30 years, and was an Assistant Harbormaster for 25 years.  He was a man of many trades.
