Robert "Robby" DeCosta Obituary

Robert J. “Robby” DeCosta, age 57, of Cohasset, passed away on April 28, 2021. Loving son of Cynthia  (Ferreira) James. Devoted brother of William DeCosta, Richard DeCosta and Lois DeCosta-Spellman. Beloved father of  Lauren Steff and husband Joseph, Christine Boyer and husband Cody, Michael DeCosta, Stephen DeCosta, David DeCosta , and John DeCosta. Also survived by 4 grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Robby grew up in the Cohasset area. He worked various jobs in the trades. Robby operated his own company, DeCosta Handyman Services, until his illness. In addition to his family, he is survived by many valued friends and his prize possession, Lucy, his 1970 Chevy pick up truck.

Family and friends, following COVID guidelines are invited to visiting hours on Monday, May 3, 2021 in the McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 1 Summer Street (across from St. Anthony Church), Cohasset, MA. from 4-7 pm followed by a service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to South Shore Hospice, 30 Reservoir Park Drive, Rockland, MA. 02370 or a charity of one’s choice. Please RSVP to services below. At Robby's request, please wear your DeCosta Strong or DeCosta Handyman shirts to the services.
