Walter Joseph McDevitt of Braintree formerly of Scituate was a beloved husband to Eileen (Mimi) Kurtz McDevitt of Braintree formerly of Cohasset. Cherished son to the late John + Josephine (Hurley) McDevitt of Marshfield formerly of Scituate. Brother to James McDevitt of Malden, the late John McDevitt and Stephen McDevitt of Plymouth all formerly of Scituate. Loving father to Kimberly (McDevitt) Putnam and late spouse John Putnam and Karen (McDevitt) Sullivan and spouse Derek Sullivan both of Yarmouth formerly of Scituate. Proud Grandfather to Patrick, Matthew and Emily Sullivan all of Boston and Brookelle and Bailee Putnam of Maine. Walter was a proud veteran who served in the Army Combat Engineer Unit Vietnam from Nov 23rd 1965 – Nov 5th 1967.  He was a talented master carpenter and a wonderful man. He will be truly missed.

A memorial service will be held on July 25, 2021 from 2-6 pm, George H. Mealy Post, 98 Summer St. , Cohasset, Ma.
