Yvonne C. Julian passed away on a peaceful Sunday morning, June 6’th, 2021. . Her cat, Dallas, was by her side, appropriately, as she was a lover of animals and a passionate pet collector over the years. She was fearless and strong in life, with a good wit and fine sense of humor.
Yvonne was born on April 4’th, 1937 in Dallas Texas to Tracy and Yvonne Fishburn. She spent summers in Marblehead. She married in 1960 to Robert L. Julian. They moved to Cohasset and had three children
She is survived by her son Gregory, his wife Maria and their two children Andrew and Veronica; her son Christopher, his wife Amory and their two children Meredith and Tobias and her son Michael and his wife Stacie. She has a brother, Michael Coke, and two sisters, Linda Newton and Gail Bartlett.
Yvonne, known as “The Texas Traveler” in the 1950’s due to her prodigious visits to Europe, raised three boys in Cohasset with the help of numerous dogs, cats, horses, parrots and even an iguana. Never one to shy away from adventure, she packed the whole family into a station wagon and drove to Guadalajara Mexico, twice. The trip included tours of Aztec ruins in the high mountains and visits to cave dwellings on the sides of cliffs.
Yvonne was so taken with the mountains of Mexico and the village of Ajijic on Lake Chapala, that she and Robert, our father spent years down there in the Winter with an assortment of rescue dogs, and a cat or two. She would make the drive with our father and two dogs in a minivan, adventures for sure.
A Funeral Mass for Yvonne will be held at St Anthony’s in Cohasset on June 23’rd at 10:30 in the morning.
