Barbara grew up in Quincy, and after high school joined Northeast Airlines as a stewardess, flying in the airline’s DC-3s. She married Jack in 1954. She owned the former Carousel of Hanover children’s clothing store for a number of years. Barbra played golf and tennis and was a member of Hatherly Golf Club and former member of the Scituate Harbor Yacht Club.
