Dorothy Winslow Webb, age 95, of Rockland, formerly of Hanson, died peacefully in her sleep on November 15, 2015. Devoted wife of Warren Webb, nicknamed Webby, who died in 1981. She had 9 siblings who predeceased her: Newell, Clarence, Jessie, Norma, Richard, Leona, Hilda, Gilbert and Frances. She is survived by her sister in law Matilda Winslow. Dorothy and Webby’s only child, Patricia Gallerani pre deceased her in 1992. Dorothy leaves 6 grandchildren: Charles and his wife the late Judy Gallerani; John Gallerani; Joan Gallerani-Mitchell and husband Jeff Mitchell; Patty and husband Ron Hatke, Christine Gallerani and Michael Gallerani. She is also survived by 49 nieces & nephews who each thought they were her favorite, as well numerous great and great -great grandchildren.
Dorothy was a special lady who could cook up a delicious meal in a minute. Her baking won her honors and her crocheting won blue ribbons at numerous fairs. She loved Bingo, blueberry picking, going for long rides and horse racing; she spent many afternoons at the Raynham Dog track. She had a sense of humor with a generous heart of gold! Dottie was a grand lady who loved & lived life to the-fullest! The world is a better place because of her and people like her.
Visiting hours on Friday, November 20, 2015 from 11:30 am-1 pm followed by a funeral service at 1 pm in the McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 30 Central St. (off Rt. 123, near State Police Barracks), Norwell Center. Interment Hanover Center Cemetery, Hanover, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
