Eduardo Guillermo McIntosh, 73, of Scituate, MA passed away on June 30, 2016 at the Pat Roche Hospice House with his loving family at his side. Eduardo was born on July 19, 1942 in Santiago Cuba. He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 50 years, Joanne McIntosh of Scituate, MA, his three children Edward McIntosh and spouse Philip O’Connell of Stoughton MA, Gregory McIntosh and spouse Tracy McIntosh of Amherst, NH and Elena Ford of Rockland MA, mother-in-law Helen Johnson of Hyde Park MA, sister-in-law Mary Hatzis of Hyde Park, MA, three grandchildren, Nikolas McIntosh, Brandon McIntosh and Julia McIntosh of Scituate, MA, two step-grandchildren Stephen Kalogeropoulos and Alex Kalogeropoulos of Nashua, NH.
Eduardo was a loving husband and devoted father with a zest for life. As a teenager Eduardo was a member of the swim and football teams. He was the Assistant Scout Master of his sons’ Boy Scout Troup 7 and loved camping and canoeing in Maine’s Allagash region many times over the past 35+ years. Eduardo adored being the soccer coach for all three of his children throughout the years. Eduardo had a passion for racing his car, motorcycle riding and was an active member of the BMW club. He enjoyed karate and was an exercise enthusiast. Eduardo loved and treasured his family and friends. Family get-togethers were the most cherished times of his life.
A memorial service will be held Friday July 8, 2016 from 9:00 am -11:00 am at the McNanamara Sparrell Funeral Home in Cohasset followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Anthony’s at 11:00 am. A reception will follow at the church hall. Memorial donations can be made in Eduardo’s name to the Leukemia Research Foundation, www.allbloodcancers.org/donate
