Erik M. Anderson

Erik M. Anderson, age 41, of Norwell, passed away unexpectedly Friday, July 31, 2015. Beloved son of Michael and Nancy (Jones) Anderson.  He is also survived by his sister Michelle, brother-in-law Tim and uncle and Godfather of Michael Sheerin;  Godson and nephew of Phyllis Latrielle of NY, nephew of Carolyn Stevens of CA, Janette Walsh of GA, Lorraine Pannick of TN &, the late Betsy Jones and the late Grandmother Mary Jones of NY.  Also, nephew of Stephen Anderson of Carver, Karen O’Brien of Carver, Kathy Hicks of Florida, Dotti Woodruff of ME, Barbara Welsh of NH, and the late Chrissy Anderson, Marie Tobin and Patty Gallaher.  Erik had many dearly loved cousins, great Aunts and Uncles and Erik’s dear friend Kevin of Norwell who traveled with him throughout his life’s journey.

Erik was a graduate of Norwell High School in 1992 and served in the U.S. Army. He was a union journeyman of the International Ironworkers Local 7 for the past 23 years and a Son of the American Legion at the George H. Mealey Post in Cohasset.  He was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan.  Just a month ago he helped to erect a building at the Foxboro stadium and was arm-in-arm with Tom Brady.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2015 from 3-7 pm in McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 160 So. Main St. (Across from St. Anthony Church on Summer St.), Cohasset. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, August 14, 2015 at 10 am in St. Anthony Church, Cohasset.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to either the Wounded Warriors https://support.woundedwarriorproject.org/ or the Massachusetts Organization for Addiction Recovery www.moar-recovery.org/
