Evelyn M (Cicco) Seavey 89, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2016 at the Bay Path Nursing Home in Duxbury MA. Evelyn was the wife of the late William G. Seavey of Norwell MA for 44 years prior to his passing in 1996. She is survived by her children David W. Seavey and wife Mary Ann of Norwell, Janet M. Taylor of Marshfield and Robert G. Seavey and wife Nicki Lee of Plympton and her grandchildren Jarrod Seavey and Melissa Taylor. She is also survived by her brother Don Cicco and his wife Jeanne, Muriel Holmes of Hebron Connecticut, Beverly Skilling of Hingham Massachusetts and predeceased in death by her brother Joseph Cicco and his wife Joan of Windsor Connecticut, and Sister Pamela Cyr of North Carolina. Born in Boston, Evelyn grew up in Quincy and resided in Weymouth and Norwell after marrying William Seavey where she resided for 44 years prior to moving to Pembroke, Marshfield and finally Bay Path Nursing and Rehabilitation in Duxbury. Evelyn’s life was centered on her family and grandchildren. She was a quiet homemaker who was creative, loving and always provided a warm and safe home. She leaves behind a legacy of nurturing and caring. Her favorite memories consisted of family vacations at a rented cottage on Great East Lake in Acton, ME. These were some of the best and happiest memories of her life as they were spent with family and close family friends that joined for the vacation. Evelyn’s hobbies were few but consisted of watercolor painting, knitting, sewing, silk flower arrangements, cooking and baking.
Visiting hours at the McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 30 Central St. (off Rt. 123, near State Police Barracks), Norwell, MA, on Monday, May 16, 2016 from 4-8 pm. A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at 10:30 am in McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, Norwell. Interment Washington Street Cemetery, Norwell. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Evelyn’s name to St Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
