Dr. Berkley Hathorne and Robert Hathorne.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 60 years, Carolyn (Caie) and his three daughters and their spouses:  Sandra and Robert Mazaika of Hopkinton, MA, Susan and David Reynolds of Westboro, MA, and Sharon and Gregory Wall of Rockland, MA.  He adored his 5 grandchildren- Bryan and Carleen Mazaika, Carter and Austin Reynolds and Bradley Wall. “Uncle Jerry” also loved his many nieces, nephews and their families.

Jerry graduated from Waltham High School, Class of 1952, married his high school sweetheart in 1955, received his degree in Civil Engineering from Tufts University, Class of 1956 and received a Masters in Engineering Mgmt. from Northeastern in 1965.  He proudly served as a Lieutenant in the US Navy Civil Engineer Corp until 1961 and soon after began a long career at the Polaroid Corporation, retiring in 1995.

For over 55 years, he was a faithful servant of God at the Church Hill United Methodist Church in Norwell, blessed with a caring and loving church family. Sailing on Lake Wentworth NH, walking on the Wolfeboro Rail Trail, exercising at Hanover YMCA, feeding birds, and connecting with his Polaroid friends were other ways he spent his days.
