Jane, Tredeen (Zaffy) and I held down the "fort" of the US Peace Corps Office in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, 1966-68. We all enjoyed the work and had a lot of laughs with all the Volunteers as they came in from the countryside to take a bath at Filowah, have a meal out, go to a movie, have ice cream, and just enjoy each other. We were Utah Ethiopia VIIs, overcame the painful peer deselection, and managed to be productive in Ethiopia. I my travels in the US after my return, I visited Boston and of course saw Jane. Life led us in separate ways. Attempts at reunions never quite made the mark. Now that Jane is gone, I lament that our gathering together never took place. Jane had a wonderful smile and a way that got her and a lot of us through hard times. Jane, God's Speed. Nancy

Jane was my roommate at the Peace Corps training camp on St. Croix in the USVI, and also when we left the Virgin Islands we were roommates in Washington DC. She and Ed visited me in DC and when I did tours in New England, I visited them once a week. I remember when Cyrus was born. When I moved to Minnesota, we kept in touch by Christmas cards. Jane emailed me back after last Christmas to tell me how serious her condition was. She didn't respond to my last email and now I know why. My heart goes out to her family!

My heart goes out to Jane's entire family. Jane will always be thought of as my best friend even though distance separated us the past several years. There are so many cherished thoughts as we grew up together inseparable and spent our early married years (she was my maid of honor) and mid years continuing to stay connected. My thoughts and prayers go out to all those who Jane had a profound impact on in their lives - and there were so many! Blessings and love, Dot

I'm truly sorry to hear of Jane's passing! I remember back to 1963 when we all moved on to live out our lives with fond memories of the friends me made at CHS.
It sounds like Jane lived a great and rewarding life and it's too bad that a disease like cancer has cut another life short. God Bless and may Jane rest in peace!
