Grace, we were shocked and so sorry to hear of Joe's sudden death. He was a wonderful man with whom we did business for over 40 years. It's clear from his obituary that he's a guy whose specialty was having impact--on those he loved, on his community, and on his customers. I know you and his family will miss him terribly. I hope it's some consolation to you that he died doing what he loved and that he was so loved and respected by everyone who knew him. He was a champion of a man.

Joseph was my mentor in Rotary for many years and served as President right before me. Joe was always a pleasure to be with and always a good friend to have time with. I celebrate my memories of a really wonderful friend and great family man.

To the Carty family, I was saddened to Recece the news of Joe's passing. He was doing what he loved to do / swim in the ocean. May the fond memories of Joe get you through this time of grief. Remember his joyous time with Grace at Steven and Deirdres wedding. What fun we had. Enjoyed a visit at the Cape: he always had a cheerful note. He is without pain now and may he rest in peace. God had a plan for Joe even though it's difficult for the family . With sympathy, Claudette Forss

We haven't forgotten what he and Grace did for our family. The kids also appreciate the care and interest he showed in their lives. What a humble, kind person. We will miss "Uncle Joe" very much! This must be so difficult for you all.

Grace,
We are so sorry to hear of Joe's sudden passing. The last time we saw you both was at our 50th high school reunion, but the years pass so quickly that it seems like it was yesterday. God bless you and take comfort in your large family and the many years you shared with Joe.

Joe was such a grande presence. He always had something of interest to contribute to conversation that really made you think and understand how life's experience can bring perspective. I always enjoyed spending time with Joe, especially down the cape. I will miss him and think of him often. Much Love.
