So sorry to hear of Joyce's passing. As a voracious reader, I would often chat with her about books and look to her guidance for suggestions. I am currently a Trustee and we had a moment of silence for her at our meeting last evening.

Dear Jill, Madeline, Tom, Ted and all of your families,
We are very sorry for your loss. Our sympathy and prayers for comfort and strength are with you all.
We too are grieving the passing of Joyce, our dear sister-in-law. Memories of Joyce and Tom go back to Hamden High School in the fifties. Double-dating with them in creaky, old cars to Jimmie's at Savin Rock for hot dogs and fries and also at the beach in Madison, with watermelon and beer, are just two of the good old recollections.
Food and laughter with our families through the years has created a bond with all of us that is forever.
Joyce was blessed with many gifts. her sense of humor was wonderful and we chuckle even today remembering the way she would begin telling a "story", a little smile and quiet clearing of her throat and we would be laughing as we anticipated her imitations and timing. Precious thoughts of Joyce. We have many.
As we are unable to be with you at this time, we are sending thoughts, prayers and love.
