I was trying to find Bobby Turner to let him know that his friend, Peter "Tony" Gilbert across Central St. from him and his family, passed on from cancer in Pawcatuck, CT. when I find out here, that Bobby himself has gone on. So sorry for his family. They were great hunting buddies, and I myself was intrigued by his collection of historic glass pieces. Nice, nice family.

I was so very sorry to hear today about the passing of my childhood friend and neighbor. We lived side by side on Central Street, grew up together playing with other neighborhood children and went to the local three room school on The Hill where my mother taught third grade. He married my childhood friend, Joan (Murphy) and my daughters Katherine, Susan and Laura played with his children when they were young. The years passed and now one of my earliest friends is gone. He will always be "Bobby" to me.

Kathy and the Turner Family:
One of the most knowledgeable outdoorsman of our time has left us. What a privilege it was to have spent time in the out-of-doors with Bob. You all are in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.
