Dear Marian and family,
Dennis and I send you our deepest sympathy and condolences on your loss. Losing one parent is very difficult, but both in the same year is just so hard. Your father sounds like a wonderful person who led a full and varied life. We send you our prayers as you journey this sad road, knowing both of your parents led wonderful lives. With sympathy,
Kitty and Dennis

Even though it has been three decades since we last met, this imaginative mensch is still very much alive in my heart.

with kind regards

We have certainly lost a dear hearted man but oh what wonderful memories to share! Dr. Andrus and BJ were such great friends to my parents June and Jack Hubbard….. their wild sailing trips in the Caribbean and beyond, dinner parties and the respect and enthusiasm for their family and friends.

Growing up in Cohasset, Steven and BJ were models to me. BJ riding Hobbit her horse down Beach St. head held high with a sense of calm as cars idled slowly behind her. Stephen and my dad pouring over big books and discussions in his office that seemed so relevant to them yet so foreign to these young ears.

Their homes, art, food, intelligence were remarkable and unique. Their daughter Barbie and my sister Sarah were best of friends in the early days. Sarah and I were fortunate to see the 3 of them at a local Cohasset lunch spot a few years ago. Chalk and blackboard in hand we were able to communicate with Dr. Andrus . BJ sat in the window and with her usual sense of grace asked me about my horses. Oh, how I wish I could have hugged her on the spot, told her how much she meant to me and how she taught me how to ride and care for these majestic animals!

Such wonderful memories we hold tight in our hearts. My family and I look forward to the memorial service celebrating their remarkable lives. Love to all xoxo
