For many years, we have served our community by providing healing and meaningful funeral and memorial services that honor life and meet the needs of those who grieve. Our hope is that from the moment you walk through our doors, you feel welcomed, respected, and heard.

History

The McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Homes have been family-owned for over two centuries. Sparrell Funeral Homes began serving South Shore families in 1820, and in 1934 Bernard S. McNamara established the McNamara Funeral Homes in Brighton.

In 1983, Bernie's son Bob McNamara and his family purchased Sparrell Funeral Homes in Cohasset and Norwell, blending two long-standing traditions of a family serving families.

Today, both funeral home locations are attentively managed by Brendan M. McNamara.
