Dear Nina, Sam & Max,
I was thinking of Mike and wanted to share a few thoughts about him and his "Wonderful Life"! When we worked together he was always talking about his family and how lucky he was to have you. He loved the family vacations to the carribean and summers on the Cape.
He introduced me to the Bridge over troubled waters charity and their annual fundraising events in Boston. His commitment to helping the lives of troubled and sometimes homeless teens lives in Boston better and healthier was something that was of the utmost importance to him and he would be on the medical van going around Boston helping treat patients in need of medical attention at no charge!!!
He also became active in supporting my cancer fundraisers SwimAcrossAmerica.org and pmc.org to help raise cancer awareness and also to fund research at Dana Farber Cancer Institute!
He never took himself to seriously and lived life to the fullest extent up until the end. When I would meet him in NYC where he was going for treatment he was always so upbeat and confident that he would beat the cancer!!! Never complaining or saying why me....
I enjoyed his friendship and will miss him dearly. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Love,
Tony

We just learned today of Michael's passing and want to extend our sympathies to Peggy, Greg, Susan and his wife and children. We have many great memories of Mike when he was in youth ministry at St. Paul's. He was a special boy back then and although we lost touch, we never forgot his wit and his great smile.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.....

I am one of the nurses at CCH ER. I worked with Mike for several years........and it was an honor. We were so shocked to hear of his illness and how quickly it took him. Mike never failed to make each shift enjoyable, no matter how busy we were. My prayers are with you and your family. May God's love enfold you and hold you all in comfort and peace.

Hughes Family,
I was a patient of Dr. Hughes at Health Express and am so saddened to hear of his passing. He was a wonderful doctor with a great bedside manner. With a myriad of medical ailments, I frequently went to Health Express, which has been a Godsend to me and many others. He always made me feel comfortable and was pleasant despite how busy he was. I will keep you in my prayers.

Dear Nina, Samantha and Max,
I have such wonderful memories of time spent with Mike. I'm not sure I would have made it through business school without him! He was charming, witty and super smart! He made learning fun. I am so sorry for your loss. I will miss him.

We are heartbroken for all of you and have to believe God has plans for Mike to continue saving others somehow in a different way. Mike was a giver as all of you are. I will never forget how Mike helped me when I had a medical problem. We are here for you in everyway.

God Bless you Michael. I'm so sad you had to leave but happy in knowing that I had many fun and hilarious times with you and Greg. You were gone for so long living and learning and then one day you treated me in the emergency room and made my pain go away. Such an act of kindness. I wonder how many hundreds of thousands of people you did that for ? I pray that Jesus eases all our pain now and in the time to come and that God holds you close by his side, eliminating all your pain and suffering forever. We love you Michael, always.

Dear Nina and Family,
I am heartbroken for your loss. Mike was a beautiful person to his core, though I know you know that. We are here for you during this very difficult time, but also in the months and years to come. This all seems impossible, as Mike was so full of life and love and humor, kindness and generosity. He will never be forgotten. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
