My grammar school friend @ St Joe's. My high school brother @ The Prep. My best man @ my wedding. We've lost a good man. There was never a doubt that Pete would accomplish great things.
Paul & Patty- your home was the meeting place for all our friends. Your mom & dad were a great inspiration to me. I speak of them often to my daughters.
It is with tears in my eyes that I think of my friend of many years ago, but I can smile when recalling the fun times we had. What a wonderful trip Pete had. He will always be in my heart.

Peter and I graduated from Fairfield Prep together, worked for Zayre Corp. and TJX at the same time and both lived in Cohasset. I had ridden my bike to his home to see him a couple of times when I lived in Cohasset. I saw him most days at TJX. He played basketball every noon and I ran at the same time. We were locker room mates. I don't remember him at Prep, but I learned at TJX that he had graduated from there. I don't know if he knew who I was, but I sure knew who he was. I looked for him at our 45th reunion, but only a small contingent attended. I was looking to meet up with him at our 50th next year. I'll make sure we remember him there. I know he was very accomplished and successful at TJX, TJ Maxx and in his many charitable endeavors. I wish I knew him better, but I'm glad to have been an acquaintance, classmate, co-worker and neighbor.

My condolences to the Maich family.  Peter will be missed by so many.  He was a leader in so many ways and led by example.  His generosity in helping so many charities, in particular The Jimmy Fund, will not be forgotten.  Thank you Peter for all you have done and those you helped.  Rest In Peace

My condolences and prayers for Peter and his family.  I worked at Jordan Marsh for 18 years and had the pleasure of meeting and working with Peter and quickly realized he was talented and special.  Not having seen him for many years I was pleased but not surprised to read of his many accomplishments.  May he rest in peace!  Consolation to his family!  Go Irish!

My wife and I go back to the Jordan Marsh days with Peter. Carol worked for Peter at the Braintree store. I always enjoyed a good banter with him. He was truly a nice guy.

Peter and Will are in my thoughts and prayers. Peter was a real gentleman, in the truest sense of the word. A great representative and lover of his alma mater, Notre Dame University, he lived life to it's fullest, and did so much to help others do the same. It was an honor to know him. His efforts of behalf of the Ouimet Fund and other causes will be missed.

Linda and I were so so sorry to hear about Peter's death. We are close friends of Linda Goulding, and know about his many struggles over the past few years. He fought so hard, with so many ups and downs along the way.  We've been praying so hard, and send our very best to Peter's family.  May the joyful memories of his living keep you all strong.  Linda and Gerald Jones

I would like to extend my deepest sympathies to the entire Maich family on Peter's passing. I hope the family can find solace in the fact Peter was so well respected for how he lived his life, always being concerned and doing for others before himself. The ultimate Gentleman and Class Act and I am honored to call him friend. God Speed Peter!!!

"Ar dheas Dé go raibh a anam" (sounds like " Err yass Day guh rev ah ann-am") in the gaelic language means "May his soul be on God's right hand".

I worked for Peter at TJ Maxx in the 1980's and spent time with him in NYC on buying trips. He was a very intelligent fun person to be around and I learned a great deal from him. Peter was a great guy and I am very sorry to learn of his struggle over the past 18 months. I guess that as a Notre Dame alum he really was one the "Fighting Irish" I want express my sincere condolences to Peter's family on his tragic passing.

We've lost a dear friend and one of the "good guys". Peter will long be remembered as a man for others.  He will be sorely missed.
