Welcome to the memorial page for

Harry B. St. Onge

October 6, 2015

Harry B. St. Onge, 72, of Cohasset, MA. passed away suddenly October 6, surrounded by his beloved wife of 49 years Kathleen McCormack St. Onge, daughter, Heather Nicholls and her husband Malcolm, son, Mark and his wife Lydia. Raised in Manchester, NH, he leaves behind a sister, Marie Spain and her husband Mike.  “Papa” was adored and loved by his grandchildren, Connor and Hannah Nicholls, and Alison and Clara St. Onge as well as many nieces and nephews.  A graduate of Saint Anselm College and Suffolk University, he made his home in Cohasset where he quietly left his mark on the community having served as Commodore of the Sailing Club and Chairman of the Relay for Life for many years. He currently served as a Board Member on the Council of Elder Affairs.  Harry was a man of strong faith and passionately devoted his gifts of leadership and vision to the development of the Glastonbury Abbey Institute, where he served as Chairman and Counselor on Advisory Council.

A sailing enthusiast, he enjoyed many hours on the water and time spent with his many friends. His greatest legacy will be the immense pleasure he took in nurturing his children and grandchildren to which he was devoted. His generous heart and radiating smile will be among the many gifts he leaves us.

His family will receive visitors Sunday, October 11 from 4-8 pm at the Glastonbury Abbey Conference Center, 20 Hull Street, Hingham.  There will be a Celebration Mass on Monday, October 12 at 10 am at the Glastonbury Abbey, 16 Hull Street, Hingham.

In lieu of flowers, anyone wishing to honor his memory can make a donation to the Glastonbury Abbey, http://www.glastonburyabbey.org
