John B. " Jack" Arnold

John (Jack) B. Arnold Jr., 63 of Scituate, passed away on July 20, 2015 with his loving family by his side after a valiant battle with cancer. Jack is survived by his wife Kelly and sons John and Richard, all of Scituate. He is also survived by his sister Stephanie Arnold of Intervale, NH, his brother Bill Arnold and his wife Mary of Norwell, and his stepmother, Lois Arnold of Hingham, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Nancy Arnold, and his brother Richard, all of Norwell. Jack will be remembered fondly by those who knew him.

Jack was raised in Norwell, MA and graduated from Norwell High School, class of 1970, and attended the Berklee College of Music. Jack’s love of music was passed on to both of his sons who were the pride and joy of his life.  He worked at H.H. Arnold Company in Rockland for many years. An avid sailor, he loved to spend Wednesday nights sailboat racing out of Scituate Harbor. Jack was a longtime member of Old Colony Ski Club, and spent many winters ski racing with EICSL. He enjoyed skiing with his family and friends at Cannon Mountain and Waterville Valley. He also cherished his time with his great friends from the Liberty Grille in Hingham.

A Memorial Celebration of Jack’s life will be held on Thursday July 23, 2015 at 3:30 pm at St. Luke’s Church, 465 First Parish Road, Scituate, MA followed by visiting hours in the church hall until 7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in memory of Jack to support the Esophageal Cancer Research Fund, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168.
